Terms of Service

Last updated 11 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Project Falcon. Using the service means you accept them.

What the service is

Project Falcon is software for laying out fire alarm systems: importing floor plans, placing devices, routing circuits, running calculations, and producing drawings, schedules and reports.

It is a drafting and calculation aid, not an engineer. Every drawing, calculation, schedule and report it produces must be reviewed, verified against the applicable codes, and approved by a qualified fire protection engineer or other competent professional, and by the authority having jurisdiction, before it is used for construction, permitting or installation. You are responsible for the design you submit. Code editions, local amendments and manufacturer data change; the figures the software uses are defaults you can and should check against the panel and device datasheets for your job.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person — Team plans exist for sharing. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

Plans, billing and refunds

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to the floor plans, designs and data you put into Project Falcon. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display them back to you and to anyone you share a team with. We claim no ownership of your drawings and no right to use them for anything else.

Our software stays ours

Project Falcon, its interface, symbol library, calculation engines and documentation belong to us. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or rebrand the software, or use it to build a competing product.

Fair use

Do not use the service unlawfully, upload content you have no right to, attempt to break or overload it, share one account across a firm, or use automated means to extract the product. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability

We work to keep the service up but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, provider outages and defects happen. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — exports exist for that reason.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or code compliance. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses arising from a design, installation, permit outcome or inspection.

Ending it

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will tell you why.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, and disputes belong to its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows when. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
